A Visitor for Bear: One of our favorite bedtime books. This precious story is about an unlikely friendship.
A Visitor for Bear
Bear doesn’t like visitors (never has) and is determined to be alone. When a friendly mouse shows up, Bear protests and sends him away. But the mouse keeps popping up determined to enjoy a cup of tea with Bear. In the end, Bear finds that he just might enjoy the companionship after all.
A Visitor for Bear is an absolute delight to read aloud, and the lovely watercolor illustrations add to the enjoyment. When the persistent mouse asks for “just a spot of tea,” you can’t help but love him. (He also definitely has a British accent in our readings.)
If you enjoy this one, be sure to look for others in the series including A Christmas for Bear. Note: If you click on the author’s name in the link it will take you to all of the other books in this series!
