Your current static IP addresses were not assigned to you by Frontier. All customers leveraging static IP addresses not assigned by Frontier have to be migrated to static IP addresses owned by Frontier. This is a mandatory change and must be completed by the deadline that is communicated to you.
Your internet service and access to any equipment that has a static IP address assigned to it will no longer work.
Customer changes After successfully authenticating your account using your Frontier Account # and PIN with a Frontier Tech Support Specialist, you or your designated IT professional will be responsible to change your current static IP addresses to the new static IP addresses assigned by Frontier. Static IP addresses will be provided by a Tech Support Specialist at this time. Customer changes with online tech support from Frontier After successfully authenticating your account using your Frontier Account # and PIN, you or your designated IT professional will work with a Frontier Tech Support specialist to walk you through the necessary steps to change your current static IP addresses to the new static IP addresses. New static IP addresses will be provided at this time. This option will only be available to qualifying customers and for static IP addresses configured on your Frontier router.
After successfully authenticating your account using your Frontier Account # and PIN with a Frontier Tech Support specialist, static IP addresses will be provided to the customer.
If your static IP addresses are assigned to Frontier-owned equipment. Instructions on how to find your static IP addresses are included in the router instructions. If your static IP addresses are assigned to customer-owned equipment For addresses assigned to equipment that is not provided by Frontier, you should contact the IT professional who manages your network currently, or who assigned the static IPs to your company-owned equipment when the service was ordered.
If you used an IT professional when your static IPswere established, it is recommended you engage your IT professional that helps manages your network currently or when you established your internet service. Frontier employees are not able to assist if the static IP addresses are located on customer owned equipment.
If the static IP addresses were set up on Frontier equipment, we will help guide you through the change with phone support. If it becomes necessary to schedule a technician to come on-site, there may be a charge for this tech visit. If you are not aware of whether or not your IP's are on your equipment or our equipment, you will need to engage an IT professional as FTR will not make any changes of static IP addresses on customer owned equipment.
If static IP's were established on your equipment (Media servers, web servers, firewalls, business class routers, etc.), you will have to go to your IT professional to assist with changes.
